The majority of Idaho State is a highland territory, which is determined by the high chains of the Rocky and the Bitterroot Mountains. The only exception is the valley of the Snake River on the South. The Central and Northern part of the state is covered with evergreen forests. The only place for agriculture is the valley of the Snake River, where they grow sugar-beets and potatoes. Idaho is one of the least sparsely populated places in the USA; its population is somewhat over 1 million. The larger cities of the state are Coeur d’ Alene and Lewiston in North and Boise, Twin Falls, Pocatello and Idaho Falls in the South.

The capital of Idaho is Boise, which is the administrational and educational center of the state. It’s also the largest city of Idaho. Its higher educational institution is the Boise State University and the Boise Bible College. It’s worth to visit the State History Museum, which introduces the history of the state to the visitors; the Art Museum, which has a fantastic artistic collection for us; the magnificent building of the State Capitol, and the Old Idaho Penitentiary, which was a prison for more than 100 years.
